Cheri Cohen’s fundraising career began unexpectedly in 1993 while obtaining sponsors for a cable television show she and her husband Keith wrote and produced. Cheri and Keith traveled extensively through the Caribbean by boat for four years, covering the Sportfishing Tournament schedule as well as the culture and cuisine of each island. Cheri was the only female captain in the tournament circuit in the early to mid-1990s, and she and Keith won and placed in several International Billfish Tournaments.
After the birth of their only child, Olivia, Cheri continued fundraising for local charities in Key West, Florida, and was recognized as an Unsung Hero/Volunteer of the Year by the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys. Cheri served as vice president of the Key West Entertainment Group for several years. Most recently Cheri served on the Board of Overseers and Board of Trustees for Ross School in East Hampton, New York.
